High Point Center is an open-air shopping center located on E. Roosevelt Road, approximately one-half mile west of S. Meyers Road in Lombard, Illinois. Tenants located in the shopping center include LA Fitness, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Lumber Liquidators, various small shop tenants and a quick service restaurant.
This Project included selective demolition of a portion of an existing canopy, selective reconfiguration of an existing canopy and recladding existing canopy column covers for that section of the shopping center occupied by Lumber Liquidators. The overall architecture of the building was maintained, but new finishes and materials were integrated into the architecture to achieve an updated appearance. The existing masonry column covers were removed and re-clad with large format cast stone units and ornamental veneer stone in an ashlar pattern. This Project, along with construction of the adjacent LA Fitness facility, was the first phase of the anticipated redevelopment of the entire shopping center.
