Project Narrative

D.Z.A.’s scope of services for this Project included preparing drawings for partial demolition of an existing big-box anchor building, originally constructed for occupancy by Builders Square, for occupancy by multiple tenants that originally included The Tile Shop, Staples, Petland and Dollar Tree. The entire front façade of the building, and the first structural bay, were demolished in order to increase the size of the main parking field. The architecture of the new front facades was designed to complement the design of the existing shopping center while implementing prototype features of the anchor tenants. D.Z.A.’s services included preparing drawings for construction of shell building work and interior build-out improvements for the anchor tenants, and providing construction administration services. Additionally, D.Z.A. provided site planning services and participated in the Entitlement Phase of the Project.
